Of all the questions you will ask yourself in life, probably the most important question is:  "When I die, will I go to heaven?"

Most people think that they are good, but God's word says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."  (Romans 3:23).

There is a penalty for the sin in our lives. "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."  (Romans 6:23).

But God has made a way for you.  He provided His son, Jesus Christ, as an atoning sacrifice for your sin. For every sin you have committed in the past, present, or will commit in the future.  Jesus took your penalty!  "...But God commendeth His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."  (Romans 10:13).

You may wonder, "Could God accept even me?  I've done so many bad things."  And the Good News is that He answers, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."  (Romans 10:13).

How can you receive forgiveness and eternal life?  God has promised..."That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."  (Romans 10:9).

You can pray a prayer such as this:

"Dear God, today I turn away from all my sins (name them). I believe that you died for me and rose again.  This day I put my trust in Your Son Jesus Christ as my Lord and my Savior.  I understand that He is the only way for me to be saved.  Please forgive me, change my heart, and grant me your gift of everlasting life.  I love you, and I will follow after you all the rest of my life.  In Jesus' name I pray.  Amen."

Once you have made peace with God, read the Bible and put into practice what you have read.  A good place to start is in the Gospel of John or Luke.  Go to church, and let other believers love you and help you in your walk with the Lord.
